Don't Be Deceived

I just learned about a kids movie coming out in December starring Nicole Kidman. It's called The Golden Compass. It will be a watered down version, based on a series of children's books about killing God. It is anti-Narnia, anti-God book series written by Phillip Pullman, a proud atheist who belongs to humanist societies. He hates C. S. Lewis's Chronical's of Narnia and has written trilogy to show the other side. The movie has been dumbed down to fool kids and their parents in the hope that they will buy his trilogy where in the end the children kill God and everyone can do as they please. Because Nicole Kidman stars in the movie, it will probably be advertised a lot. This is just a friendly warning that you sure won't hear on TV. I personally hope it totally bombs because we were all paying attention!

I checked this story out on snoop to verify that it is true information and not an urban legend. Sad to say it is very true but can't say that I am surprised.

In light of this information, it brought back my idea of posting "heroes" once a month! I wrote a post a while back about men and women who our children can look to for moral values and guidance. Men and women who are confident enough in the gifts that God has given them to not deceive children but to honor God in all that they do. I will soon be posting heroes with mister linky. Please join in if you would like!

Hi there, I came here from the Christian Women Online blog ring.

The idea of this movie just makes me sick. Just another thing that makes me think "What is the world coming to?"

Yikes.

I'll be back again!
God bless :)

This movie - ugh...I can't even formulate my words without being mean...it just disgusts me! I went to the book author's site and read some snippets from the book series - absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! Hollywood has done sit again - anything to deceive our children and teach them to lose God....sick sick world we live in!

Yes, I too have heard about the hidden meaning of this movie... very dangerous. We must always be informed and on our toes as parents- such a high calling.
