Have you been abused? Experienced Trauma?

You are loved and there's help.

This is a simple guide to find safe places to receive help and healing.
I developed this resource page because when we are in the midst of crises one of the hardest things to do is know how and where to get help. We often can't ask friends and family for help in the immediate time of crises or it may not be a safe alternative.

What is abuse?
All forms of abuse are serious, whether it is emotional, financial, sexual or physical. Abuse may escalate. It may start with emotional abuse and over months or years the abuser may become physically, sexually or financially abusive. Many, many people experience abuse during their lifetime. You deserve to live your life free from abuse of any kind. Abuse is not your fault! visit CWSOR for more info.

Can I overcome?
Philippians 4:13
"I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency."

Is there healing when the pain is so deep? In time there is healing. Just know you are not alone. The process will hurt, but healing will come with tears and sharing your broken heart with someone safe.    Psalm 30:5

"Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning."
In my sweet circle of friends.....
I know women who have had experiences with the following.

Do you?

  • Domestic violence- what is it? Are you in it?
  • Domestic violence refers to a pattern of violent and coercive behavior exercised by one adult in an intimate relationship over another. It is not marital conflict, mutual abuse, a lovers quarrel, or a private family matter. It may consist of repeated, severe beatings or more subtle forms of abuse , including threats and control.

    • Are you an SRA survivor, abuse or cult abuse of any kind? Unfortunately,  SRA the KKK among other cults remain active in our society.  Please DO NOT Google about SRA, KKK or other cult abuse. Although the Internet is helpful in so many areas this is not one of them. The Internet is a tool cults use for abuse. A safe place to receive help and more information and therapy is Christian Care Counseling P.O.Box 26 Wrightwood, CA 92397 If you are in immediate danger call (888) 654-2288 hot-line  or 911.
    • Mental illness. There is no shame in struggling with any form of mental illness A great place to be informed and to receive help Mental Health America
    • Have you been hospitalized for mental illness? Many everyday people have. It's OK. Sometimes we need a safe place to process our pain. If you are afraid of hurting yourself or some else please walk into any emergency room ( even without insurance) and tell them. A hospital stay could possibly get you the help that you need. Dear friend,  if you have stayed in the Psychiatric division of a hospital, there is NO shame in that. Choose who you share your story with wisely. Judgment is a tool that others could use to discourage the healing you so desperately need,
    • Do you struggle with eating disorders and or negative body/self image? Anorexia. Bulimia, Over eating, Obesity   NEDA serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care for eating disorders.
      • Finding hope: Healing, hope, peace, joy, forgiveness = living with the pain sometimes and or riding it out. Healing is a journey. For some there is immediate healing and for others our journey is longer. One journey is not better then the other and they are not to be compared.

"Pain is darkness and weakness being released"
Please don't fear your story, what others will think. It's your journey.
      Have hope friend.
      I do.
It's a hard road to healing, I won't tell you there is a way around the pain, only through it is there healing; but Jesus walks with me every step. He is with you too. Don't try to do it alone.
       Don't give up.
