The Meaning Of the Christmas Tree

I came across this story and thought it was beautiful. I'm really enjoying this season with my family! Money is a bit tight and I am a simple shopper doing most of my shopping on-line. I have a lot of time to just enjoy the celebration of our Savior and not get lost in the hustle and bustle of the season!

The Meaning of the Christmas Tree:

Each part of the Christmas Tree celebrates Christ's birth and tells the story of how God sent His son to earth. The wood reminds us of the manger where He lay and the rugged cross where He gave His life one day. The evergreen shows the eternal life Christ gives~ anyone who believes in Him forever lives!
The decorations represent blessings from above and inspire us to thank the Lord for His tender love. The shining lights show us how we're to do the same as we share His grace and seek to glorify His name. So may each beautiful tree bring honor to our King, and may we celebrate Christ's love in everything!

To be honest, I have just read the symbolisms of Christmas.... Historically speaking all these are pagan origins including the December 25th celebration. Anyway, through the passage of time, Christmas has created another meaning to Christians and evil tradition of pagan world has been erase and was changed.

Rebecca- Thank you- yes it is a beautiful image...

P Vince- Yes I agree the origin was pagan and Christs birth was probably in September yet I choose to not give the enemy a foothold in anything.
We choose to tell the story of Christ using the beauty of what God created such as trees, creativity etc.

"And Joshua said unto all the people [of Israel], . . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Josh. 24:2, 15).

wow Shirly, a link to a lot of last minute x mas specials..

FYI:.the X mas is spiritual...the X in X mas was a symbol of Christ back in the day and funny how we get offended when people use it...
